The Special Olympics were today and all I have to say is that it was a blast! Me and one of my friends were assigned to the Bouncy Castel station, but we got bored and switched around; dunno' where he went, but I decided to go to the sponge toss. I got pummeld with sponges and drenched in buckets of water. But, that was only part of what made today awsome; after the whole thing was over, the Band was still at the track waiting for our lunches, and my Band instructor decided he wants go play in the Bouncy Castel! Let's just say, we have a whole ten new pages for our scrap-book now. Sunburns and leg cramps aside, today was just great. I loved letting the Special-needs kids and teens soak me. I just felt like I did something great when they were all laughing and smiling, and it made me smile and laugh back. I just wish today wouldnt've ended so quickly..... Ah well, atleast I have something to look forward to next year. ^-^ And, I give my love and support to all those parents out there with a Special-needs child; your child is indeed special and you are very lucky to be blessed with them. You are doing a great job on rasing them and helping them, and I wish only the best for you and your child.
